It was the coldest 4th of July in my life - 69 degrees in SW PA. I noticed that Oklahoma was in the low 90s, too. Normally, it's triple digits. Yesterday, I read Pirate Wars by Peter Earle. Having no real knowledge about piracy or pirates in general, this book somehow piqued my interest at the bookstore. This cracks me up, especially because of all the suburban, white college kids who wear Che shirts thinking he was some sort of hero who stood against Capitalism and was for these grand social justice causes, when, in fact, he was a murderer who has been marketed well by the same corporations these kids think they are opposing.
