Yuck to Nationalization. But yuck acting like offshore drilling is going to take care of us now either.
I used to resist making political posts, until I started finding that world events, like this one, needed to be commented on. I ended up deciding that I couldn't avoid the fact that everything is political (like Williams and Collins insistence that everything is Spiritual).
I do have a fear that people will confuse my particular ideas with Christianity itself, but I can't envision Christianity that doesn't have political ramifications - ALTHOUGH I don't think that Christians will make uniform decisions.
For more "must blog" type of politics - check out the fact that while we aren't hearing it much on the evening news, multiple congressmen have been calling for the impeachment of the President and Vice President. The motion to send articles of impeachment to committee (June 10) for review PASSED 251-166. (That includes all Democrats and 24 Republicans).
Bobby, Great post brother. I have learned that God will take care of us. I know in my life when I surrender completely to him everything especially my finances. He provides. I want to let you know that I really enjoyed reading your blog and have added it to my favorites. Keep up the great work you are doing. I will pray for you, your family and ministry that God will bless you in ways you have never dreamed. I hope you have a wonderful week brother!
Location: Greensboro & Morgantown, PA/WV, but from Oklahoma City
I'm married, a graduate of Covenant Theological Seminary, and an MA student at West Virginia University in the History Department where my focus is the relation of the Old Religious Right to the New Religious Right; Carl McIntire; and 1930s Christian Fundamentalism (they all tie together, I promise). I am a ministerial candidate/intern and youth minister in the PCA. One day, I hope to be a pastor and Church Historian. If I'm lucky, I'll never retire.
