Buck Fever

I made it to a tree stand on the farm this past Saturday morning around 6:30ish. About 100+ yards to my right and below I heard crashing. I knew it was a buck since doe typically aren't that loud.

As daylight approached I heard more noise; this time coming up. The legal time to shoot was 6:50. At around 7, I looked to my right and about 100 yards, there was a buck. I ch
ecked him with my scope to make sure he met the antler restrictions for our county. He did.

Of course, I was shaking and excited by this time. He moved further up toward a path to my right. Still under my scope, he stopped right behind a tree. I waited. He
took two steps. I positioned my rifle and it made a slight noise. He turned and looked my direction. I waited it out and since a right shot is perfect for a left-handed shooter, I had the time and felt good. He turned and took one step forward. It was his last.

Another shot...

This is the distance from the deer to the stand. I am the orange blur...
