My recent long absence
I haven't really blogged much lately and for a good reason. A short while before Christmas we found out that Jen was pregnant. Shortly after Christmas, we found out she would soon miscarry the child. That happened on January 11 and since then we have been surrounded by many loving friends who have shown us the importance of being in community with God's people.
A lot goes through one's mind during tough spots in life and something that really helped me out was to hear someone tell me that God loves my child more than I ever could. That has been a great comfort to both myself and Jen, who happens to have a similar post on our current season of life.

Bobby, you know that Jen and you have been in my prayers. The Lord will be glorified somehow in this.
I just came out of a long period of unemployment and really hard breaks in life that really tried my faith, but now I am seeing some of what the Lord had to do. That doesn't compare to the death of a child, but it is testimony to the faithfulness of God. Some day it will all be clear and you'll be in wonder of God's plans.

Bobby, just wanted to say Hi and came upon this post. I don't read blogs normally but hit a couple today. When I think of you I smile knowing the short period of time we talked a few years ago was enjoyable and profitable for me. May God give you the desires of your heart
